To assist your group in developing this best practice guide, the following roles have been assigned for each member of your group. Please review and follow the plan provided below as you work toward your group goal.
Group Roles
The following is the responsibility of all group members
Each member of the group should develop one suggestion and one strategy to share with group members. By Wednesday at 6:00pm, provide one suggestion and one strategy to your group via the corresponding discussion board within D2L.
By Thursday at 6:00pm each group member should review the work of colleagues and provide feedback (via the group discussion board) on ways to strengthen their group members’ work.
Monitor your group’s wiki and make sure that it represents your group’s message the best it can!
Curator
After all members of your group have offered feedback by Thursday evening, it is your responsibility, as curator, to copy and paste the suggestions from your group members into the group’s wiki. As curator, you get to arrange the page in the way that best communicates the suggestions of your group. Please have your group’s work posted to the wiki by Friday at 6:00pm.
Editor
After the curator has populated your group’s wiki, it is your responsibility to review the work of your group. Look for general formatting and grammatical issues. Additionally, you are encouraged to incorporate any corresponding media (images, video) that you think will help communicate your group’s message more completely. It is your responsibility to ensure that the message from your group is unified and consistent. Please have this work completed on your wiki by Monday at 6:00pm.
Presenter
After the editor has finished reviewing your group’s work, it is your responsibility to create a short (1 to 3 minutes) audio recording that highlights the work from your group. Please have this work completed and posted to your wiki by Tuesday at 4:30pm.
Project Manager
Throughout the week, it is your responsibility to ensure that the project is progressing as it should. Your job is to monitor the discussion board and the wiki to ensure that all your checkpoints have been met. If you see that a checkpoint has not been met, you have the task of following up with your group members with reminders and words of encouragement to ensure that your group can accomplish your goal by the deadline.
If a group member has not completed their task, you will have to step in and complete their task on their behalf to make sure your group doesn’t fall behind.
